Day 1: Departure
Arrive in DC and meet your EDUTrips Group Escort. We’ll immerse ourselves in aviation and space history while exploring the future of space flight at the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum, plus enjoy a breathtaking IMAX film as well. We’ll then have free time to stroll the Washington National Mall and visit more of the many Smithsonian Museums on the Mall, such as the National Museum of American History, The National Museum of Natural History, or the Smithsonian Institute Castle. Dinner tonight will be in historic Old Town Alexandria, after which we’ll thrill to chilling tales of the supernatural during our Ghost Tour of Old Town Alexandria.

Day 2: Adventure Begins
This morning we’ll meet our local Tour Guide for our full Washington DC City Tour. This information-packed sightseeing bus tour includes drives by the Capitol Building, Embassy Row, the Kennedy Center, the Library of Congress, the United States Navy Memorial, the Washington National Cathedral and a photo opportunity outside the White House at Lafayette Park. We’ll shop the Old Post Office Pavillion before we reflect on one of the darkest periods of human history at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. In the evening we cruise the Potomac River and cut loose with a fun night of shipboard dinner and dancing!

Day 3: Historic Tour
Our first stop today is the US Capitol Building to meet your local US Representative, take time for group photo opportunities, and tour the Capitol Building. Next prepare for a day of espionage and intrigue at the Spy Museum, then a rendezvous at historic Union Station where we can go spy-hunting, errr shopping on the mall concourse. We then head to Arlington National Cemetery, where we’ll take the Tourmobile to such sites as the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers for the changing of the guards, the Kennedy grave sites, the Women in Military Service for America Memorial, Arlington House, and the Robert E. Lee Memorial. Dinner and free time to explore Georgetown.

Day 4: Historic Tour
History speaks directly to our hearts on the DC Monuments Tour, a comprehensive walking and/or bus tour which includes the FDR Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, the Korean War Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, the Viet Nam War Memorial, the National World War II Memorial and the Washington Monument. Next we travel to Mount Vernon for a tour of George Washington’s Mansion and estate.

Day 5: Day of Fun
Today our urban safari takes us to the Washington National Zoological Park, where we’ll visit with adorable Pandas, magnificent Great Apes and more creatures great and small. After the zoo we’ll head to one of DC’s newest attractions, Nationals Park, home of the Washington Nationals Baseball team. Our tour of this brand new ballpark includes the chance to throw a pitch in the National’s bullpen. After winding up in the bullpen we wind up our trip and head for home.
