Day 1: Departure
Group meets at Airport. Flight departs for Reykjavik, Iceland

Day 2: Adventure Begins
Flight arrives to Reykjavik, clear customs & meet EduTrips tour guide. Board bus & depart for the Viking Festival in Hafnarfjörður (exact schedule TBD) Spend the day taking part in the festivities and then return to Reykjavik & check into hotel.

Day 3: Adventure
Breakfast at the hotel. Board bus & depart for Krisuvik. Arrive to Krysuvik Seltun where you will begin a guided tour along the boardwalk as it winds through the bubbling & hissing geothermal field full of craters & geysers. Next we will visit Krysuvik Cliffs where we will hike to the end of the cliffs where thousands of seabirds nest in the rugged cliffs besides the crashing Atlantic surf. Tour ends, enjoy free time for lunch (cost not included) Our last visit of the day will be to Gunnuhver where you will see the biggest active mud spring in Iceland & also cross the bridge between continents. Board bus & depart for Reykjavik. Arrive to hotel & the rest of the evening is free.

Day 4: Day of Fun
Breakfast at the hotel then board bus & depart for the Blue Lagoon where you will soak your cares away in the geothermal waters!

Day 5: Adventure
Breakfast then board bus & depart for Holar Agricultural College – lunch stop en route (cost not included). Exchange with students begins (MC to organize). Board bus & return to hotel in Reykjavik – dinner stop en route (cost not included).

Day 6: Adventure
Breakfast at hotel. Board bus & depart for Hellisheidi. Admission to the Geothermal Energy Exhibition & free time to explore. Our next visit will be to the Geothermal power plant of Hellisheidi for a short lecture (MC to organize). Depart for Fridheimar Greenhouse. Enjoy a unique lunch experience in the greenhouse (cost not included). Tour of the greenhouse begins where you will gain insight into the processes of greenhouse horticulture. Tour ends, return to hotel & the rest of the evening is free.

Day 7: Adventure
Breakfast at hotel. Depart for the Gullfoss “Golden Waterfall”. Arrive to Gullfoss the queen of Icelandic waterfalls & have the opportunity to stand next to the amazing waterfall & watch enormous quantities of water tumble violently into a deep, meandering gorge. Next we will visit the geyser geothermal area of Stokkur, the most active geyser in Iceland. After lunch we will spend the afternoon encountering a cross- section of Iceland’s Natural wonders and geological phenomena at Thingvellir National Park, an area of historical & geological significance & home to Iceland’s largest natural lake.

Day 8: Tour
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Board bus & depart for Skaftafell. Arrive to Skaftafell & enjoy free time for lunch (cost not included). Arrive to the Glacier house, meet your professional guides, board bus & depart for the Falljokull glacier. Tour starts at the bottom of the carved valley where your guide will explain the unique features. As you arrive to the edge of the glacier your guide will assist with crampons and give a short lesson on the use of the equipment provided along with a safety talk. Glacier adventure begins Tour ends, meet bus & return to the hotel. Arrive to hotel & the rest of the evening is free.

Day 9: Departure
Breakfast at the hotel. Check out of the hotel & spend the rest of the day souvenir shopping. Board transfer bus & depart for the airport.
