Day 1: Home-> Liberia, Costa Rica
Fly to Liberia, Costa Rica; Our coach bus will transfer us to our Eco hotel in Monteverde. Students will be given time to relax before heading out for the evening. Dinner will be eaten at a restaurant near our hotel. A basic Spanish lesson will be given after dinner.

Day 2: Santa Elena Cloud Forest
In the morning after a hot breakfast you will depart for the Santa Elena Cloud Forest. Meet with a Park Ranger from the Santa Elena Cloud Forest. Spend the day hiking in the cloud forest, learn about the unique ecosystem and see rare birds & wildlife.

Day 3: Monteverde
No trip to Costa Rica is complete without flying above the rainforest Canopy. Today you will fly through the rainforest over the river, strap on a harness and do some tree climbing & rappel off a 40 foot waterfall. In the evening, enjoy dinner at the Tree House Restaurant.

Day 4: Monteverde Institute & Coffee Tour
Today we you will meet with a director from the Monteverde Institute. You will participate in a community service project of planting trees in deforested areas. After lunch meet with the Vargas family and begin a tour through their Coffee & Sugarcane plantation. You will learn first hand how coffee is grown & learn to make sugarcane juice.

Day 5: Arenal
Our journey takes us to the area of the Arenal Volcano. Along the way to Arenal, we will stop for a swim in the Thermal River. Upon arrival we will check into our hotel, relax, go for a swim in the pool, and later go for dinner in the town.

Day 6: La Fortuna
Some of the most impressive views in all of Costa Rica are found in and around the town of Arenal. This morning we will be biking on a quiet road around Lake Arenal surrounded by dense forest and farms. In the afternoon we will hike down to the impressive waterfalls of La Fortuna & go for a refreshing dip in the cool waters.
7
Day 7: Liberia → Home
Rise early and eat your last Costa Rican breakfast. Head to the airport where you will fly home.
